A native of Alpena, Michigan, Zann received a BA from Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan and a BFA from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Zann was a teacher for 11 years in Michigan and moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma, where she was the manager of Multigraphis Art Center establishing the annual Christmas Gallery and developing the Summer Arts Show for artists to sell their works. After moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma Zann established Waterworks Art Center and Gallery. Also, Zann continued to learn new skills at Arrowmont Art Center, Southwest Art Center, and The Art Student’s League. While in Oklahoma, Zann exhibited in various galleries with the Cimarron Women Artists. She ran the Tulsa Gallery and Summer Art Show featuring over one hundred artists. After retiring, she continued to experiment with a variety of media, and developed an extensive inventory in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Throughout her career, Zann taught art classes and workshops from Kindergarteners to adults. She continues to experiment on various art projects in Upstate New York.
